I am a Dallas newborn photographer, dreamer, a football fanatic, a lover of the little details in life, and a Jesus follower.

It is so important to me that families document their days. Parenthood is so challenging, and yet so rewarding. I want to be sure you remember these special days.

Okay, I am going to pause right there, because I know what you are thinking: that sounds great but HOW?

The idea of beautiful family photos sounds wonderful, but I don’t even know where to start with choosing outfits, prepping the kids, or printing images.

What if I told you that I would take care of all those things for you?

I’ve been known to pile leaves on my head and play hide and seek during sessions just to get kiddos to relax and have fun. I love getting to know families in the Dallas and Fort Worth areas and photographing them year after year.

As your luxury newborn and family photographer, my goal is to take away all of the pain points you experience when planning a session, during a session, and after a session.

I am not sure when the best time to book a session is….
As soon as you inqiure I start working WITH you. I will help you decide what SEASON might be best, the best DAY of the week, and even the best TIME for a session.
I have no idea how to style my family’s wardrobe…
Luckily for you, this is one of my favorite parts of the portrait experience. I will use my artistic eye to help you choose the best color palette and wardrobe pieces for the entire family. The best part is I have a curated client closet at your disposal.
How do I prep my family to get the best photos possible?
After you have booked your session, I will provide you with the ultimate session guide that is full of tips and tricks on how to get your family to relax and feel comfortable in front of the camera.

I am not familiar with the best spots to take photos…
As your expert photography, I have a list of my favorite local spots in the area to use as session locations. I will provide easy directions on how to get there and where to go when you arrive.
I am worried that my kids won’t listen or stay still…
Guess what? I have a two-year-old, so I TOTALLY know where you are coming from. I also have some tricks up my sleeve to help reign them in. I am a go-with-the-flow kind of photographer, so I work best when I am moving and following your kids’ leads.
My family and I are not very comfortable in front of the camera…
That is A-okay! I don’t need you to know what to do! I will give you simple prompts (not poses) that will help you get comfortable and forget that I am even there.

How do I decide what images to print after the session…
The best part about the LSP experience is that I don’t disappear after your session. I will be there to help you hand-select what images you want to print and how you want to print them
How do I know what prints and frames will look good on my walls…
I will use my expert eye to decipher what will look best in your space. I can choose for you or give you options to choose from.
How do I know where and how to order…
I will order everything for you! We will meet virtually after your session to review your images, pick your favorites, and place your order.

I will try my best to get back to you within 24 of your initial inquiry. We will then set a date and time that works for both of us. After that is determined I will send over a contract and invoice. A 25% retainer and a signed contract are due to secure your date.

Once we have scheduled a date and time, we will begin to plan the details (location, wardrobe, etc.). During this time I will provide lots of details to ensure we are on the same page for your session.

Now for the fun part – your session. We will meet up, adventure together, & document some pure moments. I will then edit your gallery and send the proofs within 3 weeks.

Don’t live in Dallas or
Fort Worth?

That’s okay! I serve clients in cities all across the metroplex. Over the past couple of years, I have served families in Flower Mound, Grapevine, Aledo, Plano, Richardson, Bishop Arts, Irving, and Highland Park. The great thing about living in Arlington is that I am right in the middle of Dallas and Fort Worth; therefore, I have easy access to all of the incredible surrounding cities. One of my favorite things about being a Dallas Newborn Photographer is that there is such a variety of architecture and character. So, whether you find yourself living in a historic bungalow in Arlington Heights or a distinctive estate in Highland Park, I am here to serve you.

We have absolutely loved having Lakin capture our first year with our baby!

I want to say that the average number of photos is 300, some may have more some may have less. There is no right or wrong answer.

If you want to select the photos yourself, I would recommend categorizing by “event.” What I mean by this is to go through your photos from the past year and write down the big moments/memories. Choose your favorite from those moments.. After you have those picked out ,go through and add in “fillers”.

The sooner you upload your photos to the gallery link, the sooner you will receive your yearbook. However, I do ask that you upload your images within two weeks of paying your retainer.

It will take me around 4 weeks to design your yearbook. Once it is proofed and approved by you, it will be sent to production. Please allow 2 weeks for production and shipping. In short, allow at least 6 weeks from time of ordering to delivery.
