The people (okay, just my Instagram followers and me) have spoken and weighed in on their must have baby registry items that you aren’t going to want to miss out on. Some things you have probably heard of or seen around, but some might come as a surprise to you. Below, I will give a brief synopsis of each item with a link to purchase as well. However, I’m not just giving you the skinny on what to add to a registry, I am recruiting you to help crown the national champion of baby items with a little March Madness of our own!
Baby Bjorn Bouncer
We had a reflux baby aka we might not have survived without a bouncy seat. Ours was not near as aesthetically pleasing as this one though. Wish I would have known about it 6 years ago!
Baby Brezza
If you choose to formula feed, this toll is said to be a total game changer, especially for those night time feeds.
Boppy Pillow
This is a classic. It’s great for nursing, but it’s also great as a cushion during sitting practice for baby.
Bottle Warmer
As a formula feeding mom, take it from me – just buy the bottle warmer. You will not want to be warming water in the microwave at 2am.
Cloth Diaper Burp Cloths
There’s a reason these things have been around for forever. There’s something so durable about these things that will have you reaching for them at the site of any spit up.
Copper Pearl Bandana Bibs
These bibs were hands down our favorite. They withstood multiple spit ups before being soaked through. They washed well and were adorable.
Doona
This might not be a top priority for those of you who are having their first child, but if you are having your 2nd+ kid, apparently this is one of those must have baby registry items. Only downside is that it is HEAVY.
Dr. Brown’s Glass Option+ Bottles
I love how versatile these bottles are – if you have a reflux baby, they work. If you don’t, they still work (just take out the extra pieces). And I will always opt for glass over plastic for health and longevity reasons!
Electric Bottle Wash Set
Where was this when we were using bottles?? Seriously, this seems like a game changer – especially when traveling.
Ergo Carrier
I will always be a fan of a structured carrier. The Ergo is such a work horse and has never let me down! There is even a newborn insert you can use if you have a larger newborn.
EZPZ First Foods Set
Not only is this set adorable, but it’s great for introducing solid foods to you little. These were designed by a pediatric feeding specialist and checks all the boxes!
Haakaa
If you breastfeed your baby, this needs to be on your registry hands down. It’s essentially a “free milk” catcher.
Hatch+ Sound Machine
A sound machine that will grow with your baby into toddlerhood and childhood!
IKEA Antilop High Chair
I went with a bougie, hard to clean high chair with my first child and honestly couldn’t get rid of it fast enough. Purchased this for my second and wish I had just started with this. it was so easy to clean and if you add a footrest, it offers a great feeding position for baby.
Keekaroo Changing Pad
I won’t ever understand why people buy changing pads that aren’t wipeable. I mean babies produce so many…fluids. 😅
Kyte Baby Sleep Sack
These are royalty at our house. The softest, cuddliest material for baby to sleep in. Quality is top notch.
Little Sleepies Jammies
The bougie bamboo baby pajamas that I just can’t say no to. These are as soft as they are cute and have great resell value!
Lovevery Play Gym
This is one of those items that I did not have with my first but received as a gift with my second and realized I had been missing out. The fabric is washable and is not a total eye sore like other baby products. The best part is that it is developmentally appropriate for multiples stages.
Mabė Baby Carrier
Missed out on this one when I had a baby that was carrying size, and I am bummed because this looks cute and comfy!
Manual Breast Pump
Sometimes the hard way works better, apparently?
Merlin Sleep Suit
For some people this thing is as effective as it is hilarious looking. My boys weren’t fans, but I have heard this is a great transition piece for some people between swaddling and not swaddling for sleep.
Miss Mouth’s Stain Remover
This is the mother of all stain removers. Blood, yep. Berries, yep. Grass, yep. This is a mothering must have.
Newton Crib Mattress
If infant sleep makes you the least bit nervous, this breathable crib mattress might bring you some peace of mind.
Nose Frida
Truth be told, I bought the electric one and this one still works better to my astonishment.
Ollie Swaddle
I used this swaddle with my second born and it was a game changer! So much easier to use than the other velcro swaddles. The only thing that I can say is a negative is that it’s hard to discreetly take it off because the velcro is loud. This is a single mom owned small business so I feel good about supporting this one!
Rear Seat Car Camera
If you are a big time roadtripping family, this might bring some peace of mind!
Solly Baby Wrap
This seems to be the queen bee of unstructured baby carriers. I loved the look and feel of mine, but I had big babies who always seemed awkward in them. Or maybe it’s me, I am the awkward one.
Stroller Wagon
Sometimes you just need something different than the traditional stroller. There are many brands out there, but this one seems to be very popular!
Two-Way Zipper Jammies
Jammies that zip up from the top and bottom are superior. You never know which end requires tending to.
Uppababy Vista V3
This was one of my personal additions to this must have baby registry items list. We have the older version (v2) and absolutely love it. It’s basically the Cadillac of baby strollers. My favorite thing about it (aside from how smooth it drives) is that you can add on to it if you decide to have more children.
Wubbanub
The most iconic Paci + lovey duo there ever was.
If you are in the market for baby registry items, I would venture to guess that you have a newborn or one on the way. If so , congratulations! Don’t forget to book your newborn photos. If you are in DFW , I would love to serve you. You can see more of my work here.
