Cozy Maternity Session

I can’t think of many things that are sweeter than snuggling up with your family on the couch, which is exactly what we did at this cozy maternity session. Jordan is a good friend from the wedding photo world, and it has been so fun to get to know her over the last couple of years. She is currently a momma of two boys and is pregnant with her third babe. Her boys are so excited for their new sibling – the youngest thinks that since momma is pregnant, everyone else is too. He kept asking me where my baby was.

I loved this cozy maternity session because it was laid-back, fun & so natural. I am a HUGE advocate for documenting every season – no matter how tough or how busy it is. The key is to choose something that works for you and your family. A posed maternity session in a field with a long, flowy dress probably would not have worked for this family. However, a cozy in-home session was perfect for them. The two boys were SO in their element. They laughed, they ran around, they snuggled & they even helped me take a few photos of their mom. I will say that it probably helped that I have taken their photos before. Staying loyal to a photographer is one of the BEST things you can do for your family when it comes to taken photos. That loyalty allows your kiddos to establish a connection with the photographer that might not happen with a new person every time you take photos.
