Downtown Engagement Session

This downtown engagement session was one for the books, and not just because we had dreamy light and the perfect weather. Danica and Kyle are two of the most genuine and kind people I have ever met. They both have personalities that are so welcoming and joyful. Photographing them was like diving into my favorite book or watching my favorite Disney movie.

We explored downtown Forth Worth, and boy was it worth it. We found some great places and managed not to sweat until the very end (thanks Texas weather). My favorite part of the whole session was the time we spent up on a rooftop with a gorgeous view of the city around us. We had it all to ourselves, and I love that we were able to capture them in this beautiful city.

However, as much as I love beautiful scenery and incredible light, what means the most to me during a session is being able to capture the connection and emotion between couples. After all, a photo is only as good as the emotion that it displays, and provokes. And let me tell you, the connection between these two was magnetic. They were able to be themselves completely and wholeheartedly which was such a gift. Their joy is contagious, and their love for the Lord is so evident. I cannot wait to see what God does in their lives and marriage. I sure do hope that June 23rd is all that they hoped it would be.
